Do you struggle with what business advice you should be following? Do you ever get a “Spidey Sense” about the right road to take for you and your business?
After 25 years in advertising, I can tell a tale or two about the dos and don’ts of business – but one lesson from my personal experiences rules supreme for me: listen to your gut.
I started my business because I love to be creative and help people solve their business problems. I began doubting myself when people made comments about my lack of a business degree, or that they had never seen anyone who ran a business like I did. I questioned whether I knew enough to be successful.
So, I attended nine years of business groups, and I tried to do what they told me to do. But, guess what? Turns out I already knew, in my gut, what would work for me and my business.
Trust yourself. I have seen many a business take a wrong turn because they trusted someone else’s opinion while ignoring their own instincts. I can attest, success will come if you are authentic, open, and true to yourself.
Here’s to your success! – Diane.
