Challenge
Create awareness for the institute and their many programs for the deaf and hard of hearing. For example, their alarm systems for the deaf that can be installed in hotel rooms
Solution
While creating a series of videos for the client, we asked one of the head people to talk briefly about how a couple of deaf people had been trapped in a burning hotel because they could not hear the alarms. We created a 30 second commercial and submitted it to local TV stations as a PSA during the Olympics.
The spot got picked up by CBC and ran in prime time Olympic programming scheduling – skyrocketing sales of the alarms. The company received almost ONE MILLION IN FREE TV AIR TIME.
